OUR COMMUNITY MATTERS

Exit Realty 1st Call with the help of their Family and Friends had another successful food drive this fall. We would like to Thank all for their generous donations. With your help we filled 5 vehicles of much needed food which was given to the Caring and Sharing Food Bank of East Hants.

We'd like to congratulate Kelly Dawe whose name was drawn from our food drive ballad drop off. She was the lucky winner of a Brand New Koboglo E-Reader. Thanks to all who helped make our food drive a success and to those who dropped off their ballads at our Exit office located next to the Superstore. Along with all the generous food donations, we raised $187.50 in cash for the Caring & Sharing Food Bank.

We're collecting those pesky pennies by the thousands! And when we get enough thousands, Scotiabank in Elmsdale is going to help us ROLL em. Then whatever we collect is going to be divided up between four local elementary schools to help them purchase some much needed equipment for their playgrounds or their technology labs or their libraries or whatever they may need. They are so underfunded for the extras.

We encourage and ask everyone to bring us those bags or bottles of pennies. The more people contribute, the more we'll have to give to the schools.

On May 18th we held a ROCK A THON fundraiser for the Stewart Family. This local family

is in need of our combined comunity support to help them through a very difficult time and medical

crisis. We would like to thank all who donated to this cause.

July1st, Canada Day Parade! We had lots of fun while participating in the parade. And we would like to

thank all who dropped by our booth at the Lions club Fun Fair. I think everyone had fun with the Hockey Slap Shot. All ages from 70 to 2 and a 1/2 participated. We have some great Hockey Players in East Hants.
