We're kicking into high gear for our annual food drive Dec 3/2011!

For the past five years the team at Exit Realty 1st Call has organized a massive food collection event that contributes tons of food each year to the Caring and Sharing Food Bank of East Hants.

It's a massive effort dubbed “HEY, HEY,HEY, HELP FILL THE SLEIGH” Because of the antique sleigh positioned outside our EXIT office which is in the same building as the local Superstore. Grocery shoppers gladly contribute some of their groceries as they come and go.

To add to that collection Exit agents are out with their friends and family with U-HAUL trailers that have been decorated to look like massive gift boxes. They tour the residential areas and door knock to fill the the trailers.

The residents of East Hants are generous beyond belief. And many are often waiting with a bag of groceries ready to donate.

It all arrives back at our office location where it is boxed and picked up by Food Bank volunteers in half ton trucks.

This impressive collection could not be accomplished without a huge amount of volunteer hours from our Exit agents. But, we feel it is a way to give back to our community and in comparison to the number of families who benefit, it is a small effort.
